Job Description:

We are seeking a highly successful, passionate and results oriented Sales Professional to drive additional market adoption of CashStar products and solutions to new clients as well as expand CashStar’s presence in existing accounts. The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing new client relationships with retailers, restaurants and other merchants and selling CashStar’s Digital Gifting Solutions to marketing, ecommerce and gift card decision makers.

Key Responsibilities/Main Activities:

  • Actively engage marketing, ecommerce and gift card decision makers at retail and other merchant prospects primarily in the apparel, specialty, fine dining, and other verticals to introduce CashStar products and solutions.
  • Lead prospecting and first contact sales efforts via a consultative selling process.
  • Expand market presence and revenue in assigned territory by adding new clients to the CashStar network.
  • Maintain existing relationships with current clients in assigned territory and explore opportunities for CashStar to provide additional value.
  • Representing CashStar at regional or national industry events, i.e. and E-tail

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally selling to marketing and e-commerce teams at retailers and merchants.
  • Proven results in terms of closing first line business.
  • Strong existing network in the retail vertical and experience selling to high level marketing contacts.
  • Experience selling a SaaS product. The Business Development Director must be comfortable fielding questions from a variety of stakeholders as our solutions impact marketing, gift card, IT, and e-commerce teams.
  • Industry experience retail, ecommerce, marketing automation, payments and/or gift cards is highly desired.
  • Cross-functional team experience. Our Sales teams collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Product teams to drive new development and close deals.
  • Proven track record of exceeding quarterly and annual goals.
  • Ability to travel.
